Rather than working with the individual, the focus of team and organisational coaching is predominantly on organisational groups.
How would coaching benefit my organisation?
Team coaching strengthens a team’s performance by combining individual employees’ skills and expertise, building on these and improving upon team weaknesses. Coaching aims to strengthen inter-team relationships and help teams perform at their highest potential. This will lead to increased employee job-satisfaction, loyalty and performance, which will ultimately improve customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
Who gets involved?
In order to achieve sustained change, the work must meaningfully involve the organisation in the designing and implementation of the coaching and consultation work. Coaching4all therefore aims to work collaboratively with key stakeholders (e.g. CEO, directors, managers) and the organisation’s in-house services such as Training and Development Teams, Occupational Health and Human Resources, to help embed the work in the organisation’s culture, processes and procedures.
The actual work can be undertaken at various organisational levels: from working with the CEO and Senior Management Team – working with managers and staff with a service development role – to those working directly with customers, clients and service users.
For example, working with the CEO and Senior Management Team may take the form of consultation to assess organisational challenges and dilemmas, and design strategies to address these.
What does coaching focus on?
Organisational coaching and consultation may focus on:
- enhancing team collaboration and effectiveness
- developing values
- assessing and addressing dysfunctional aspects of service models and procedures
- improving workplace communication and relationships
- workplace stress and wellbeing management
- improving resilience and reducing sickness and staff turnover
- developing coaching and mentoring skills
- staff development / talent management
- service development planning
What does the team and organisational coaching service include?
- A complementary, free-of-charge 15 minutes telephone conversation to discuss how Coaching4all may help your organisation
- An hour-long exploratory meeting with key-staff, charged at the reduced hourly rate of £100. The aim of this meeting is to explore the reason for the enquiry, including relevant opportunities and constraints, values and visions. We will discuss how Coaching4all may help your organisation and what the focus of the work could be. We will formulate some preliminary goals and agree the next steps, time-scales, who will be involved and communication/reporting-back loops
- Subsequently, we will send you a coaching service proposal for consideration, which includes a proposed fee for the coaching service. This fee depends on the scale of the work and expected number of meetings required. For example, sometimes a further assessment period is needed in order to collate relevant information that will inform subsequent coaching work. It may also be possible that, in addition to working in a consultative capacity with a team, the coaching service may consist of training sessions and/or individual executive coaching meetings.
Meetings generally take place at your organisation’s office, provided we will not be interrupted. Alternatively, individual and small group meetings can take place at the Coaching4all office in Lewes.
The frequency and duration of sessions depends on the work Coaching4all is commissioned to undertake.
